News for Saturday - May 3

For those of you interested in Abstract Expressionism, there is a new exhibit at the Jewish Museum through September 21. 1109 Fifth Avenue at 92nd Street, 212-423-3271. You will recognize works by Hans Hofmann, Lee Bontecou, Arshile Gorsky, and of course Pollock and de Kooning. Of particular interest is the influence of Clement Greenberg and Harold Rosenberg, two Jewish art critics who had major influences at this time.
